Janelle Schlaudt is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM), holding membership in 

  • Music Teachers National Association (MTNA),
  • Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA), 
  • San Angelo Music Teachers Association (SAMTA) 

Ms. Schlaudt is Past President of Texas Music Teachers having completed nine (9) years as an officer.  In addition, she has served on the Board of Trustees and Coordinator of Student Activities in Ensemble, Performance, World of Music, and Original Composition.  She is the 2000 Pre-Collegiate Teacher of the Year and a Music Teachers National Association Foundation Fellow. 

Her educational background includes St. Louis Institute of Music where she received certification in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of Piano Pedagogy and Piano Performance, studying with Dr. and Mme. Leo Sirota.  She pursued graduate study at the University of Texas in Austin, and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  She is also a certified Kindermusik teacher.

Janelle‚Äôs students have won honors throughout the state and many have performed as soloists with the local San Angelo Symphony.  Many of her former students are professionally engaged in music, serving as teachers, performers, therapists, and conductors.
